The property line
Cape soil is sand over loam, and what a post does in it depends on where on the property you are standing. So the first thing that happens is somebody walks the line with you, sees the slope and the ledge and where the run has to end, and prices the feet that are actually there. That is why the estimate is free and why it happens on site rather than over the phone.
The run goes up
The same people who set a privacy run behind a house set the fence around a school, a library, a tennis court or a playground, and hang the guard rail on an industrial lot. Commercial work has a budget attached to it and no job here has ever been too big or too small for that budget. The run goes up year round, not just in season.
Back to the Route 6 door
Walk back up the drive and the same hands have been at work on the other end of the property. Cedar picnic tables, benches, swings, rockers, gliders, arbors and trellises, mailbox posts and lamp posts in wood, vinyl or granite. A good deal of it sits in the showroom at 4660 State Hwy Rt 6, which is the fastest way to see how the work is put together before you order anything.
Six lines of work, one shop
Fence is the biggest part of it and not the whole of it. The cedar furniture, the arbors and the posts come off the same bench, which is why the fence and the things standing next to it look like they belong together.
