Those are two different numbers and they mean two different things. 1967 is how long the fencing trade itself has been worked by the people behind this company. 1992 is when Landmark Fence, the business at 4660 State Hwy Rt 6 in North Eastham, was actually established. Almost twenty-five years of trade experience were already behind it before the sign went up on Route 6.
The showroom on Route 6
Fence and cedar, built by the same hands
The address on Route 6, 4660 State Hwy Rt 6 in North Eastham, is a working showroom as much as an office. The cedar furniture line, picnic tables, benches, garden swings, rocking chairs, gliders, arbors and garden trellises, sits inside it on display, built by the same crew that sets the fence outside. Walking through the showroom before ordering anything is the fastest way to see how the work actually holds together.
The service area runs to North Eastham, the rest of Cape Cod, and the surrounding areas within 30 miles of the Route 6 address. Every fence, mailbox post and lamp post that leaves the shop is going somewhere inside that radius, not shipped in from off Cape.

Cape Cod is a barrier beach, and a fence out here answers to salt air and northeasters that a mainland yard never sees. The two photographs on this page are real Landmark jobs, not stock images of a fence somewhere else. One is a fresh cedar stockade run along a wooded path, still light and unweathered. The other is an older board privacy fence that has already stood through more than a few of those storms.
